information over web...?

what all information can be in web....? we had a dicussion in past..

indian governments are always sceptical in providing informations to outside... i believe many of the strategic sites in india are not be in the maps of india... But from whom we are hiding info.. the people of interest say terrorist or other countries will have definitely info.. they dont need to look into indian maps

or easily they can get it from google tools... !

another discussion point was - what about using a foreign tool like google for searching information... google keeps cached information of all websites and all when we google.. even after we delete sites.. it will be in cached info of google... also we are using mail tools like gmail, yahoo etc.. i think even government institutions in india use that for official purposes.. and american companies like google, msn, yahoo etc are supposed to give info to US goverrnment if some need based on national security demands... so are we at risk?

somebody suggested we should use indian based tools instead of google.. but then it would be easy for hackers against india.. everything will lie in one place to hack...!

so what all should we keep in web and what all we should not ..? what all should we permit and what all we should not.. where should be the line drawn.. based on what all parameters -- privacy.., national interest.. etc etc

One possitive thing is that -- soon we will be able to even see people wandering in beaches using google map..! ( now also it should be possible, for paid users ?)

The protection of information, privacy etc are the modern theories based on individualism and individualistic societies. Mankind did not grow this way. I think once information becomes popular, the idea of the need to protect will also fade away. What are we trying to hide from whom and why?

This is as simple as asking the NKorea issue to a Japanese. NKorea is very dangerous to Japan and thats why Japan needs US help (so they are taught) And the only bloody reason for NKorea to attack Japan will be because of this US ally stance.

I dont think information protection will be a possible thing in future. We are getting back to the nomadic society. No one really belongs to a community anymore. The passports are just legal doc. You and me are nomads. We both live in foreign land if you take the true meaning of foreign. I need passport and you dont need is only a matter of legality.
