Generation gap

in one recent newspaper article.. in a malayalam daily.. the author questioned the IT people living in bangalore, etc etc... if they want to shift an apartment or look for a new house,, their parents have to come to their place and do things for him..

i got felt, as i see myself among those poor IT guys..

I dont have good impression about the previous generation either..!

Atleast our "grand father" generation wasted their life - for struggling for independence and nurturing the nation and all..

The generation which came after.. ruined the nation.. they were selfish.. looking after their own family.. taking bribes.. being lazy..not working... moved this nation backwards..

atleast we are earning hard.. earning foreign exchange.. bring technology etc etc

dont blame me and my generation.. i will dance on ur head!

you did not ask the previous generations to judge themselves. Then how can you judge yourself?

I agree partially that one generation actually wasted and another one stepped backwards. Also I am not in complete disagreement with you regarding hardworks of the current generation. But mind you, this has been possible because your parents were selfish (for their kids) and tightened their belts to get you everything good.

The only problem I see with the current generation is the spending pattern. They somehow feel that the salary is to keep rising every year 15% with the inflation contained below 7% and hence they have an 8% gap to increase spending annually....

and since the grandies do the actual land moving, the next generation will have more to say..

And I was discussing with a guy around 12 yrs junior to me- the generation gap is getting widened.....

It is good topic to discuss - Generation Gap - But the funny thing is that the discussion never ends. It is funny to see two generations who have a gap between them in some way; fight about this topic.

But we can see a set of silent people in the old and new generation who agrees with the old and present one, who thinks that it is a part of life.

Many times I have felt that, what media projects is utter foolish thing, and many of the articles may be written by very young journalists, who just try to get the attention, or trying to proove themselves.

I would like to be the part of the group who believes that generation gap is a necessary thing, that makes the different and like to understand the feeling of old and present.
